As a Plena Healthcare Physiotherapist, you will work across diverse settings—from private residences and retirement villages to residential aged care facilities—supporting clients to achieve meaningful, person-centred goals.

You’ll provide high-quality mobile physiotherapy services to older adults living with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke rehabilitation needs, progressive neurological conditions, as well as age-related decline, frailty, and musculoskeletal conditions. Your focus will be on improving mobility, strength, balance, pain management, falls prevention, and overall quality of life.

Your Day-to-Day

  • assessing and diagnosing movement, mobility, strength, balance, pain, and functional limitations.
  • Delivering evidence-based intervention in-person and via telehealth 
  • Potential voluntary national travel to support regional clients 
  • Liaising with our national Physiotherapy team.
  • Supporting clients to improve independence, mobility, and participation in daily activities.

For physiotherapy students in their senior years of study, we offer an Allied Health Assistant program designed to provide early exposure to aged care physiotherapy.

As an AHA you’ll:

  • Shadow experienced Physiotherapists across a range of aged care settings

We’re also experienced in conducting comprehensive assessments and providing practical, evidence based therapy tailored to each individual’s needs whether at home, in the community, or in care settings. Plus, we’re experienced in navigating various funding options like private funding, home care packages, CHSP, CDM, Short Term Restorative Care, and Lifetime Care and Support.
